About the Procedure
Labiaplasty is an outpatient surgical procedure performed under local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia. Using precise techniques, I carefully trim and reshape the labial tissue to reduce excess length, correct asymmetry, and create a more proportionate and comfortable contour. My goal is always to preserve sensation, avoid overcorrection, and create a result that feels natural and in harmony with your anatomy and goals.
Labiaplasty is often combined with clitoral hood reduction for a more harmonious result across the vulva. Together, these procedures can enhance both form and function in a subtle, yet meaningful way.
Recovery and Healing
Most patients return home shortly after surgery and resume light activity within a day or two. Swelling and tenderness are normal for the first 1 to 2 weeks and can be managed with cold compresses and prescribed medications. You’ll need to avoid tampon use, tight clothing, strenuous activity, and sexual intercourse for about 4 to 6 weeks. Many patients feel ready to return to work within 5 to 7 days, particularly if their job is non-strenuous.
Healing is typically smooth and uneventful, and most patients feel fully recovered within 6 weeks. I’ll check in with you regularly throughout the healing process to ensure everything progresses as it should.
