Thigh Lift
(Thighplasty)
The shape and tone of your thighs can deeply influence how you feel about your body. A thigh lift offers a way to restore firmness, reduce excess skin, and improve comfort — all while maintaining a natural, balanced look. My goal is to help you feel confident not only in your appearance, but in how you move, dress, and show up in your everyday life.
I’m Dr. Leela, and I see thigh lift surgery as an opportunity to restore ease, confidence, and a stronger appreciation of your body. Through careful technique and a personalized approach, I’ll work with you to refine your contours in a way that feels balanced, natural, and true to who you are. Every decision is made with your comfort, anatomy, and lifestyle in mind — so you can move forward feeling more at home in your body.

Who Is a Candidate for Thighplasty?
You may be a good candidate for thigh lift surgery if you:
- Have loose or sagging skin along the inner or outer thighs
- Experience discomfort or chafing due to excess skin along the thighs
- Have difficulty finding clothing that fits comfortably around the thighs
- Are maintaining a stable weight, especially after significant weight loss
- Are in good health and have realistic expectations
A thigh lift is not a weight loss procedure, but rather a body contouring procedure that removes excess skin and redefines your shape. During your consultation, I’ll assess your anatomy and goals to determine whether a thigh lift, liposuction, or combination of both will provide the best outcome.
Benefits of Thigh Lift Surgery
Thighplasty can provide both physical and aesthetic improvements, especially for those seeking a more toned and proportional silhouette. Benefits include:
- Removing excess, sagging skin from the inner and/or outer thighs
- Improving skin tone and firmness in the upper legs
- Enhancing comfort during movement and physical activity
- Creating smoother, more sculpted contours
- Helping clothing fit more reliably and comfortably
This procedure is about restoring comfort, confidence, and a sense of freedom in your body. I’ll design a surgical plan that supports your lifestyle and leaves you feeling lighter, more confident, and more in control of your shape.
About the Procedure
Thigh lift surgery is a body contouring procedure designed to remove excess skin and gently reshape the upper legs — improving tone, proportion, and overall comfort. It’s typically performed under general anesthesia and takes about 2 to 3 hours, depending on the extent of correction and whether liposuction is used for added contouring.
Surgical techniques for thighplasty vary based on your anatomy. Some patients benefit from contouring the inner thighs while others need toning along the outer thighs or hip area. I’ll recommend the approach that will best support your figure with elegant, long-lasting results.

Surgical Techniques
Thigh lift surgery can be performed using different incision patterns depending on where excess skin and soft tissue are most prominent. The most oft-used techniques include:
- Inner Thigh Lift: This technique addresses loose skin primarily along the inner thighs. Incisions are typically placed in the natural crease where the thigh meets the groin, allowing me to lift and tighten the area with minimal visibility. Where there is more significant skin laxity, a vertical extension along the inner thigh may also be used.
- Outer Thigh Lift: For patients with laxity along the outer thigh or hip area, an outer thigh lift may be performed. Incisions are generally placed along the upper hip or lower buttock crease, where they can be concealed within undergarments or swimwear. This approach smooths and reshapes the lateral thighs to improve the proportion and balance of the lower body.
- Liposuction: Fat removal with liposuction may also be incorporated to further refine shape and definition where needed. This creates leaner, smoother contours for the upper legs that seamlessly blend into the knee and lower leg.
Each surgical plan is tailored to your anatomy, comfort, and long-term goals. I will work closely with you to select the right approach, ensuring your results feel harmonious, elegant, and authentic — so you can move forward with greater confidence in your shape and in yourself.
Recovery and Healing
After thighplasty, most patients return home the same day. Swelling, tightness, and mild bruising are common during the first 1 to 2 weeks. Light walking is encouraged early on to support circulation and healing, but strenuous activity and leg stretches should be avoided for 4 to 6 weeks. Most patients feel ready to return to desk work or light daily activities within 10 to 14 days. Your results will continue to refine over 8 to 12 weeks as swelling gradually subsides and the tissues settle into place.
I’ll provide personalized recovery guidance, monitor your healing closely, and offer support every step of the way to ensure you feel confident and cared for throughout your recovery.
