Breast Augmentation with Lift

Refined volume. Elegant lift. Lasting harmony.

It’s common for the breasts to lose both volume and position over time. Whether due to pregnancy, weight changes, or simply aging, many women find that their breasts feel less full, less lifted, and not quite reflective of how they feel inside. Breast augmentation with lift (also called augmentation mastopexy) restores breast volume while also reshaping and elevating the breasts to a more youthful, natural contour.

I’m Dr. Leela, and I take a personalized approach to breast surgery. My goal is to help you feel more confident in your body by combining a refined lift with natural-looking volume — tailored to your frame, your goals, and your lifestyle. Together, we’ll create a plan that supports your aesthetic goals with balance, safety, and beautiful, long-lasting results.

Who Is a Candidate for Augmentation Mastopexy?

You may be a good candidate for a breast lift with augmentation if you:

  • Want fuller breasts and a more lifted, youthful shape
  • Have experienced volume loss from pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight fluctuations, or aging
  • Want to restore volume in the upper breast while also correcting droop or downward-pointing nipples
  • Are looking to improve breast shape, symmetry, or projection
  • Are in good general health and have realistic expectations

If your breasts feel deflated, lack volume, and sit lower than they used to, a breast lift with implants may be the right solution to restore fullness, elevate your contour, and bring back a more youthful, balanced silhouette. We’ll discuss all your options for surgery during your consultation and devise a personalized plan that best fits your goals.

Benefits of Breast Augmentation with Lift

A breast lift with implants offers the unique advantage of enhancing both the shape and volume of the breasts in a single, thoughtfully coordinated procedure:

  • Restoring fullness to the upper portion of the breast
  • Lifting and reshaping sagging or deflated breast tissue
  • Repositioning the nipple for a more youthful, natural look
  • Improving breast symmetry and overall proportion
  • Creating a firmer, more elevated contour with added volume

For many women, this procedure can be both transformational and affirming — helping you feel more balanced, uplifted, and confident in how you present yourself. During our consultation, I’ll take the time to understand your vision and guide you through your options, so we can create results that feel natural, elegant, and beautifully your own.

About the Procedure

An augmentation mastopexy combines two procedures: a breast lift to elevate and reshape the breast tissue, and breast augmentation using implants to restore or enhance volume. The goal is to restore volume with implants while reshaping the breast tissue and removing excess skin for a lifted, balanced result.

There are two surgical approaches to a breast lift with augmentation: single-stage and two-stage.

  • Single-stage: The lift and implant placement are done in one surgery. I carefully place the incisions and insert the implants either beneath the muscle (submuscular) or over it (subglandular), depending on your anatomy and goals. I then reshape and elevate the breasts so that they have a lifted, firmer, and more natural-looking contour. I also lift the nipple to a more youthful position and reduce the size of the areola if needed for balance. This option is ideal for many patients and offers the benefit of one recovery period.
  • Two-stage: In certain cases, a two-stage approach may be recommended to optimize safety and results. This means we perform the breast lift first, then allow time for healing and stabilization before inserting implants and performing any further reshaping with a second surgery. This two-stage plan can offer better predictability and precision, especially when significant lifting or size adjustment is involved.

The result of augmentation mastopexy is a more youthful, full, and balanced breast contour that better reflects how you feel — strong, vibrant, and confident.

Implant Types

I offer the following types of breast implants for augmentation mastopexy, each with unique benefits:

  • Saline Implants: Filled with sterile saltwater, saline implants provide a uniform shape and are FDA-approved for patients 18 and older.
  • Silicone Implants: Known for their soft, natural feel, silicone implants are a popular option. I use the latest generation silicone implants, which are highly cohesive and FDA-approved for patients 22 and older.
  • Motiva Implants: The latest development in breast implant technology, Motiva is an advanced, next-generation silicone implant with a smooth, flexible surface and exceptional safety profile. Patients love the natural movement and feel these implants provide. They also feature innovative technology like RFID tracking for added peace of mind. Motiva implants are FDA-approved for patients 22 and older.

Together, we’ll select the right type, size, and profile to complement your lift and enhance your shape beautifully and safely.

Surgical Techniques

There are several incision patterns I use during breast lift surgery, and I’ll choose the technique that best fits your breast shape, chosen implants, skin quality, and degree of sagging:

  • Periareolar Incision: A circular incision placed around the edge of the areola. This option is only suitable for some implants and is best for mild to moderate sagging. It also offers minimal scarring.
  • Vertical (Lollipop) Incision: Combines an incision around the areola with a vertical incision down to the breast crease. This is commonly used for moderate sagging and allows for more reshaping and more implant options.
  • Anchor (Inverted-T) Incision: Adds a horizontal incision along the breast fold to the vertical pattern. This technique is best for more significant sagging and larger implants, and it offers the greatest flexibility in contouring and implant selection.

Your surgical plan — whether single-stage or two-stage — will be fully customized based on your anatomy, aesthetic goals, and long-term preferences. Every decision is made with careful attention to safety, proportion, and achieving the most natural, long-lasting results possible.

Recovery and Healing

Recovery after augmentation mastopexy is typically very manageable, though slightly longer than with a lift or augmentation alone. You’ll go home the same day and be able to get up and walk around. Swelling, tightness, and mild discomfort are normal for the first 1 to 2 weeks. Most patients feel up to resuming light activities and non-strenuous work within 5 to 10 days, but heavy lifting and upper body exercises should be avoided for 4 to 6 weeks. Your new shape will continue to refine as the swelling resolves over the next 6 to 12 weeks, and your scars will continue to fade over time.

I’ll provide ongoing support throughout your recovery to ensure your results heal beautifully, and I’ll guide you closely on scar care and how to maintain your results long term.
