Breast Lift

Elevate your confidence — and your curves.

Over time, it’s completely natural for the breasts to change. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight fluctuations, and gravity all contribute to a loss of firmness, volume, and position. A breast lift, or mastopexy, is a highly effective way to restore a more youthful, elevated breast contour — helping you feel more confident in your shape and more comfortable in your skin.

I’m Dr. Leela, and I perform breast lift surgery with a focus on elegance, balance, and natural-looking results. I’ll work closely with you to create a personalized plan that supports your goals and elevates your curves in a tasteful, natural way.

Who Is a Candidate for Breast Lift?

You may be a good candidate for a breast lift if you:

  • Have sagging or deflated breasts due to aging, pregnancy, or weight loss
  • Your nipples point downward or sit below the breast crease
  • Feel a loss of firmness or shape in the upper portion of your breasts
  • Have asymmetry or uneven breast positioning
  • Are in good health and have realistic expectations

A breast lift doesn’t alter breast size; it repositions and reshapes existing breast tissue to create a perkier, more youthful contour. If you’d like to increase or decrease your breast size, we may combine your lift with augmentation or reduction. We’ll discuss all your options during your consultation and devise a personalized plan that best fits your goals.

Benefits of Breast Lift Surgery

Through gentle lifting and reshaping, a breast lift restores a more youthful contour and balanced appearance. Some of the key benefits include:

  • Lifting sagging or deflated breasts to a more natural and youthful position
  • Repositioning the nipple and areola for better alignment
  • Restoring a firmer, rounder breast contour
  • Improving upper breast fullness without increasing breast size
  • Enhancing breast symmetry and overall proportion

This procedure is not about changing who you are, but about reclaiming your natural shape and redefining what time, gravity, or life transitions may have altered. During your consultation, I’ll listen to your goals, evaluate your anatomy, and create a surgical plan to restore your confidence and give you a more lifted, elegant silhouette.

About the Procedure

A breast lift involves removing excess skin, reshaping the underlying tissue, and repositioning the nipple to a more natural, youthful height. The procedure is typically performed under general anesthesia and takes about 2 to 3 hours.

There are two surgical approaches to breast lift surgery: single-stage and two-stage.

  • Single-stage breast lift: I carefully place the incisions and then reshape and elevate the breasts so that they have a lifted, firmer, and more natural-looking contour. I also provide any volume adjustment (augmentation or reduction) at the same time, along with reducing the size of the areola (in many cases). This is ideal for many patients and offers the benefit of one recovery period.
  • Two-stage breast lift: In certain cases, a two-stage approach may be recommended to optimize safety and results. This means we perform the breast lift first, then allow time for healing before considering additional volume changes with implants or further reshaping. This two-stage plan can offer better predictability and precision, especially when significant lifting or size adjustment is involved.

The result of breast lift surgery is a more youthful and balanced breast contour that better reflects how you feel — strong, vibrant, and confident.

Surgical Techniques

There are several incision patterns I use during breast lift surgery, and I’ll choose the technique that best fits your breast shape, skin quality, and degree of sagging:

  • Periareolar Incision: A circular incision placed around the edge of the areola. This is best for mild to moderate sagging and offers minimal scarring.
  • Vertical (Lollipop) Incision: Combines an incision around the areola with a vertical incision down to the breast crease. This is commonly used for moderate sagging and allows for more reshaping than the periareolar approach.
  • Anchor (Inverted-T) Incision: Adds a horizontal incision along the breast fold to the vertical pattern. This technique is best for more significant sagging, excess skin, or larger reshaping goals, and it offers the greatest flexibility in contouring.

Your surgical plan — whether single-stage or two-stage — will be fully customized based on your anatomy, aesthetic goals, and long-term preferences. Every decision is made with careful attention to safety, proportion, and achieving the most natural, long-lasting results possible.

Recovery and Healing

Recovery after breast lift surgery is typically straightforward, and most patients are pleasantly surprised by how manageable it feels. You’ll go home the same day and be able to get up and walk around. Swelling, tightness, and mild discomfort are normal for the first 1 to 2 weeks. Most patients feel up to resuming light activities and non-strenuous work within 5 to 7 days, but heavy lifting and upper body exercises should be avoided for 4 to 6 weeks. Your new shape will continue to refine as the swelling resolves over the next 6 to 12 weeks, and your scars will continue to fade over time.

I’ll be here to support you throughout your healing process and provide guidance on scar care, bra support, and how to maintain your results long term.
