Why I Became a Plastic Surgeon
From an early age, I knew I wanted to pursue medicine. The idea of making a meaningful impact on someone’s life inspired me.
My passion for plastic and reconstructive surgery truly blossomed during a formative trip to India, where I witnessed a surgeon caring for a burn victim. That moment solidified my calling to a career that blends artistry with healing. I realized I could restore both form and function through surgery—helping patients look and feel whole again.
My Training and Experience
Although my path was clear, the journey was anything but simple. At just 17, I was accepted into medical school and earned a full scholarship to the University of Miami’s seven-year combined medical program.
Afterward, I matched into the highly competitive Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency at the University of Colorado, where I spent six years training in every aspect of reconstructive and aesthetic surgery.
To further refine my expertise, I pursued the prestigious Harvard Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship—an elite program that accepts only one surgeon per year. During that fellowship, I mastered advanced techniques in facial rejuvenation, breast surgery, and body contouring under the guidance of world-renowned surgeons. These cultivated skills are now applied daily in my Denver practice.
In addition to running my practice, I also serve as an attending physician at Intermountain, CommonSpirit, and the University of Colorado Hospital Systems.
