About the Procedure

BOTOX® Cosmetic is an injectable neuromodulator that works by gently relaxing the muscles responsible for creating dynamic wrinkles (wrinkles that form when making facial expressions like smiling or frowning). It’s primarily used to address forehead lines, frown lines between the eyebrows, and crow’s feet wrinkles around the eyes. A treatment session takes just 10 to 15 minutes and involves minimal discomfort. I use a fine needle and a gentle touch to deliver small, precise doses of BOTOX® Cosmetic in targeted areas. Recovery and Results

BOTOX® Cosmetic is sometimes called a “lunchtime procedure” because it has little to no downtime. You’ll be able to return to most activities immediately after treatment. Some patients may experience mild redness or swelling which should subside within a few hours.

You’ll begin to notice results from your BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment within 3 to 5 days, with full effects typically visible by 7 to 10 days. The result is a smoother, more refreshed appearance — never frozen or overdone. Results generally last 3 to 4 months, depending on the area treated and your individual muscle activity. Maintenance treatments can be scheduled a few times a year to preserve your results long-term. Many patients also choose to combine BOTOX® Cosmetic with other treatments (such as dermal fillers or skin rejuvenation) for a more comprehensive approach to facial rejuvenation.

BOTOX® Cosmetic and dermal fillers are both injectable treatments, but they work in different ways.
